REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL |

All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

| Whereas, it is stated in the ASUCI Constitution, that it is the duty of ASUCI ?to provide a forum for the expression of the student views and interests, ? and foster recognition of the rights of the students in this university community?, and Whereas, it is also stated in the ASUCI Constitution, that ASUCI Legislative Council ?shall promote the welfare and the interests of the undergraduate students?, and Whereas, it is a goal of the Legislative Council to better inform and hear from our constituents about ASUCI and undergraduate issues we can address, and Therefore, let it be resolved that on Tuesday, January 11, 2005, during the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., the At-Large Representatives sit on Ring Road by the flagpoles with a banner that reads ?What do you want to change at UCI?? and engage in dialogue with those who approach them. Let it be further resolved that they keep a record of issues that were brought up by their constituency and report back to Leg Council the following Tuesday; and Let it finally be resolved that all Legislative Council members are allowed and encouraged to participate in this event. |
