Whereas ASUCI is comprised of students whose role is to heed the needs of the general population and provide necessary services; and

Whereas the role of Legislative Council, specifically, as elected or appointed officials is to continue a tradition of excellence by adhering to our commitment to the students regardless of our own personal agenda; and

Whereas that commitment can only be expressed through the fulfillment of the vital duties of Legislative Council members such as attendance at formal and committee meetings; and

Whereas it has been noted that Joseph Silva, At Large Representative, has consistently failed to attend formal meetings and was removed from Rules Committee because of his lack of involvement; and

Whereas it is imperative that ASUCI always remain accountable, especially to the students which it represents and demand that its elected or appointed officials fulfill their duties effectively;

Therefore, Let it be resolved that Legislative Council call for the removal of Joseph Silva as the At Large Representative because of his repeated failure to fulfill the vital duties of Legislative Council. His lack of involvement and participation has had effects on the morale of Legislative Council and especially on the students which he represents;

Let it finally be resolved that ASUCI continue its tradition of integrity by demanding that its members be held accountable and unbiased in their actions.
