REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: In support of Action Agenda

Whereas, it is important to show support of the Action Agenda, and

 

Whereas, the ASUCI is an advocacy body for the interests of students, and

 

Whereas, Dining, Transportation, and Student Involvement are all issues of importance and concern to students on campus, and

 

Whereas, the Action Agenda contains three separate issues, and

 

Whereas, it is within the constitutional power of the Legislative Council to create ad hoc committees, and

 

Whereas, creating committees which are specifically designed to address Action Agenda items will help keep council on task and productive, and

 

Whereas, having committees assigned to the Action Agenda will help in keeping council and the students whom they represent well informed on the status of the Action Agenda items.

 

Therefore, let it be resolved that the Legislative Council fully and whole-heartedly endorses and supports the Action Agenda and the items contained thereon R41-01.

 

Also, let it be resolved that three ad hoc committees be formed.

 

Let it also be resolved that these three committees be the Dining, Transportation, and Student Involvement committees.
