REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Transfer of Elections Committee

Whereas, Article XIII Section E of the Elections code provides a procedure for the transfer of managerial authority over the Elections Committee should the Executive Vice President become a candidate for election, and

Whereas it is the intention of the Executive Vice President to seek re-election to ASUCI for the 2008-2009 school year,

Whereas an Elections Commissioner has been chosen and consulted on the process to follow whereby the Elections Committee shall be temporarily tranfered to the Office of Student Services for the duration of Spring Elections or until the Executive Vice President is no longer a candidate for office,

Therefor let it be resolved that Article XI Section E of the ASUCI Elections Code be activated and signature authority over the Elections Committee be transfered to the Office of Student Services (to be consulted by the Executive Director).
