All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

| Synopsis: ASUCI Endorsement of the UCI Campus Life Fee Initiative | |

| Whereas, ASUCI would greatly benefit from an increased Associated Student fee, Whereas, an increase of $15 per student per quarter would allow ASUCI to improve its existing programs and explore new events and services for the student body,
Whereas, a $9 per student per quarter student activities fee would greatly enrich the campus life at UCI by providing for more programs and events,
Whereas, it is the responsibility of ASUCI to “enhance the quality of student life, and foster recognition of the rights of students in this university community” (ASUCI Constitution, Preamble),
Whereas, it is the responsibility of Legislative Council to “promote the welfare and interests of the undergraduate students” (ASUCI Constitution, Article IV, Section A),
Whereas, the UCI Campus Life Fee Initiative would increase the vivacity of student life at UCI,
Whereas, numerous student constituencies and administrators have provided input on the referendum and support its mission,
Let it therefore be resolved that ASUCI endorse the UCI Campus Life Fee Initiative. |
