All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

| Synopsis: Creation of Health Services Committee | |

| Whereas, ad hoc committees have been created by the Legislative Council to address various issues affecting the students, Whereas, there are no Legislative Council committees that deal with health-related issues affecting the students, Whereas, the health and wellbeing of the students impacts their ability to achieve success, Whereas, Article III, Section B, Part 10 of the ASUCI Constitution states that the Legislative Council has the authority to form standing and ad hoc committees, Therefore, let it be resolved that a health services ad hoc committee, chaired by Michael Belko, be created to work with the Student Health Center, the Health Education Center, Disability Services Center, and Counseling Center to deal with various health-related issues affecting the students and to improve the health services provided by UCI. Let it further be resolved that this committee be named the “Health Services Committee”. |
