REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Amendment to TGIF By Laws

Whereas, it must be in the power of a committee to change its Bylaws in a manner that will serve to improve said bylaws, and

Whereas, amending the Bylaws of The Green Initiative Fund referendum may be necessary in the future, and

Whereas, a clause in the Bylaws stating the process for such amendments was omitted in the original copy, and

Whereas, the addition of such a clause would not only improve the Bylaws, but serve as a system of checks and balances for the Sustainability Committee.

Let it therefore be resolved that the TGIF Bylaws are ammended as follows:

VIII. The TGIF Bylaws may be amended with a 3/5 majority approval by the Sustainability Committee, and a 2/3 majority by the Legislative Council.
