REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: UCI Campus Life Fee Initiative Ammendments

Whereas, there have been recommendations to amend the Student Activities Fee guidelines, and

Whereas, a good-faith effort is being made to accommodate the concerns of different constituents and
 
Whereas, the Student Fee Advisory Committee has approved the UCI Campus Life Fee Initative with the recommendation that the amendment process be amended and,
 
Whereas, student organizations have requested a disambiguation of Article IV., Section F., Subsection 1., part a. and,
 
Whereas, marketing discussions have produced a suggestion about a new name for the fee initiative,
 
Let it be resolved that the following amendments be made to the UCI Campus Life Fee Initiative:
Article VI., shall be changed to read “The Student Activities guidelines may be amended with a two/thirds majority approval by the Student Activities Panel…”
Article IV., Section F., Subsection 1., part a. be changed to read, “All individual events may only apply to one funding board (SPFB, Dean’s Fund, MPC, CSF or Health)  except in the case of extenuating circumstances.”
All instances where the phrase “UCI Campus Life Fee Initiative” is used shall herein read “UCI Stimulus Package Fee Initiative.”
