REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Appointments to the Office of Academic Affairs

Whereas the Office of Academic Affairs has completed the hiring process of the staff for the 2009-2010 academic year.

And whereas member of the staff need to be placed on payroll and begin performing their duties,

And whereas according to Article IV, Section B, Subsection 3 of the ASUCI Constitution, Legislative Council is responsible for “approving, by a majority vote…the commissioner appointments of the Executive Officers,”

Let it be resolved that the following students be confirmed in their respective positions as members of the staff of the ASUCI President and afforded all the privileges associated with such appointments:

Kathleen Paules, AMP Commission

Eakta Malik, Assistant AMP Commissioner

Shane Jagow, Academic Senate Commissioner

Lisa Woo, Assistant Academic Senate Commissioner

Olivia Lee, Assistant Speakers and Debate Commissioner
