Whereas, it is the responsibility of the Legislative Council of the Associated Students of the University of California, Irvine (ASUCI) to review and decide upon any submitted legislations in a timely and organized manner, and

Whereas, when writing legislations, authors should take into consideration Legislative Council’s busy agenda as well as the time it takes Legislative Council to fully review any legislation including, but not limited to, the redistribution/transfer of funds from different accounts, and

Whereas, Legislative Council has full authority to pass or fail any legislation after careful review as stated in Article IV of the ASUCI constitution, and

Whereas, an in depth and comprehensive review of legislation by Legislative Council is completed in an efficient manner when the appropriate documentation is included with the legislation in question, as well as when the legislation in question is submitted in a timely manner,

Let it be resolved, that all legislation be submitted with the afore mentioned considerations as well as all mentioned requirements of Article IX of the ASUCI Legislative Council By-Laws,

Let it further be resolved, that all legislations pertaining to time sensitive material, including, but not limited to, the redistribution/transfer of funds from different accounts, have an attached line-by-line monetary justification as well as detailed account information which justifies the redistribution/transfer of funds from the account in question,

Let it also be resolved, that all time sensitive information as mentioned above, be submitted with a minimum of two (2) weeks before the date of any event or action pertaining to the legislation in question,

Let it finally be resolved that no author submit any piece of legislation after having already taken the action, with a premature assumption of any Legislative Council decision.
