REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Deadline for legislation submission and publicity of meeting agenda

Whereas late legislation submissions hinder the legislative council liason’s ability to create an agenda for Legislative Council meetings in a timely manner, and

 

Whereas it is to the benefit of Legislative Council to have the meeting agenda ahead of time so as to be able to adequately prepare for the topics being covered, and

 

Whereas students are more encouraged to attend public comment if the meeting agenda was made public ahead of time, and

Whereas there is a need for Legislative Council to conduct itself efficiently and professionally, and

 

Whereas the student body should be aware of Legislative Council activities,

 

Let it therefore be resolved that all legislations should be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday,

 

Let it further be resolved that the agenda be written and posted on the ASUCI website by 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
