Whereas there are thousands of gallons of water being wasted every year due to negligent use of water facilities,

Whereas there is the ever increasing concern of excess waste being created due to the detrimental effects of temporary water containers and holders,

Whereas this concern is prevalent on the University of California, Irvine campus,

Whereas it is necessary that we as students of the University of California must work alongside with the The Green Initiative Fund to help carry out their ideas and innovations in making this campus more sustainable,

Whereas it is also necessary that we work closely with the Student Center Advisory Board in addressing this concern as they are also dealing with this dilemma, 

Whereas this campus aims to be a more efficient and sustainable campus through implementation of greener products,

Whereas we as campus leaders should lead by example and help future prospective students in creating a greener campus,

Therefore, let it be resolved that an acquisition of multiple units of the Hawsco “Hydrationstation” be made to help eliminate the waste of water and additional pollution of temporary water retaining products.  Acquisition of this product will encourage students to bring sustainable water retainers, which in return will create a greener campus.
