REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Creation of Student-Faculty Relations Committee

Whereas student-faculty relations proves an issue pertinent to the student body,

Whereas this proposed ad hoc committee will work in conjunction and act as a supporting and supplementary force to the already established department luncheons,

Whereas this committee will support the already established academic department luncheons through furthered promotion and advertisement of the aforementioned event,

Whereas students may not be able to attend the established department luncheons already facilitated by school representatives due to conflicting schedules,

Whereas this proposed committee will endeavor to create and facilitate other opportunities for students to interact with their department faculty outside of an academic environment,

Let it be resolved that a student-professor relations special committee, chaired by Charlyn Arellano, be created to facilitate the creation and improvement of professional and academic relationships shared by students and faculty.

Let it further be resolved that this committee be named the “Student-Faculty Relations Committee".
