Whereas Legislative Council and ASUCI in general can benefit from even stronger relations with UCI Dining and the UCI Bookstore,

Whereas it is good for students at UCI to see that their funds toward ASUCI are being used in an effective manner,

Whereas UCI students love getting free stuff for finals,

Whereas Tuesday of Week 10 (Nov. 30, 2010) is ideal for handing out free stuff for finals,

Whereas handing out free stuff for finals can double as our Legislative Council tabling requirement,

Let it be resolved that Legislative Council set up a booth in front of ASUCI on Tuesday (Nov. 30, 2010) to give out scantrons, bluebooks, and pencils bought from the UCI Bookstore and granola bars bought from UCI Dining,

Let it further be resolved that every council member allocate at least 1 hour to tabling on Tuesday (Nov. 30, 2010), sign up sheet to be passed out after meeting,

Let if further be resolved that each person who receives free stuff gets a maximum of three (3) of each item,

Let it finally be resolved that the new Legislative Council banner make its prominent debut at this event.

Let it also be noted that the primary purpose, though not the only purpose of this event is simply to give back to students at UCI.

REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.
