All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Spring 2011 Election Commissioner Appointments

 Whereas, the spring elections are just a few weeks away and members of the spring elections commission in the Office of the Executive Vice President have been working since February 2011,

Whereas, it is customary for the appointments of an Executive officer to be approved by the Legislative Council (Art IV, Sec. B, Sub 3),

Whereas, Chingoo Lee, the candidate for Spring Elections Commissioner, served as Fall 2010 deputy commissioner and is fully acquainted to become commissioner,

Whereas, the Executive Vice President and the Elections commissioner have met in accordance to the Elections Code of ASUCI which states “The Elections Commissioner and the Executive Vice-President shall recommend three (3) Deputy Elections Commissioners to the ASUCI Legislative Council for approval including a Deputy Elections Commissioner for Compliance, a Deputy Elections Commissioner for Publicity, and a Deputy Elections Commissioner for Logistics” (Section XII, Subsection A).

Let it be resolved, that the following students be confirmed in their titles and as members of the Spring 2011 Elections Commission to the Office of the Executive Vice President and afforded all privileges associated with such appointments:

Chingoo Lee—Elections Commissioner

Richard Sung—Deputy Elections Commissioner for Compliance

Summer Ko—Deputy Elections Commissioner for Logistics

Lexi Cruz—Deputy Elections Commissioner for Publicity
