REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Creation of Statistical Analysis and Logistics Committee

 Whereas, ad hoc committees have been created by the Legislative Council to address various issues affecting the students,

Whereas, the Legislative Council currently has no means to deal with surveying the natural population of the undergraduate student body and/or interest groups and organize the results in an efficient manner,

Whereas, students’ opinion is valued highly and their choices and general interests should be the priories of the Legislative Council.

Whereas, Article III, Section B, Part 10 of the ASUCI Constitution states that the Legislative Council has the authority to form standing and ad hoc committees,

Therefore, let it be resolved that an ad hoc committee that processes statistical analysis and provides efficient logistics to the Legislative Council, chaired by Jack Pan, be created to work with mathematics students, the standing committees, OIT, and informed former ASUCI members to deal with various survey-related issues affecting the students and to improve the legislative council’s understanding of the student body’s opinions on different issues.

Let it further be resolved that this committee be named the “Statistical Analysis and Logistics Committee”.
