REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Appointment of Elections Commissioner and Election Deputies

Whereas the Elections Commissioner and the Election Deputies oversee a fair, equitable, and efficient process for Student Government elections throughout the year,

Whereas is it is the duty of the Office of the Executive Vice-President to appoint the Elections Commissioner and the Election Deputies,

Whereas the Executive Vice-President has conducted a two-week long interview process to select the Election commissioner in the Spring,

Whereas after her selection, the Elections Commissioner has been facilitating Fall Legislative Council elections, handling a record-high number of candidates,

Whereas the Elections Commissioner has conducted a week-long interview process to select the Election Deputies,

Whereas the Election Deputies have been meeting regularly with candidates to ensure maintained communication and the enforcement of rules and regulation,

Let it be resolved that Legislative Council confirms the appointment of

            Sejal Thaker

as the 2011 ASUCI Elections Commissioner,

Let it further be resolved that Legislative Council confirms the appointment of

            Gefrey Manohar

            Manuel Elizalde

Jordanna Monteiro

As the 2011 ASUCI Election Deputies.
