All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

| Synopsis: Suspend Rules for Thursday, January 26, 2012 | |

| Whereas, per the bylaws of ASUCI, Article VI, Section B, Sub-section 1 reads, "Council meetings shall be held Tuesday and Thursday from 5 pm until 7 pm each academic quarter," Whereas, per the bylaws of ASUCI, Article V, Section A conveys "The Legislative Council...[abides] by the parliamentary procedure rules as described in Robert's Rules of Order," Whereas, due to the necessity of training and familiarizing the newly elected council members--as well as the current ones--in how to utilize their available resources, the nature of this Thursday's meeting (January 26, 2012) will need to be changed, Whereas, during the closed meeting this Thursday, the council will have an informal retreat with different representatives of student affairs (and the campus as a whole), Let it be resolved that the agenda for the meeting this Thursday be suspended, Let it further be resolved that the council shall suspend the use of parliamentary procedure according to Robert's Rules or Order in order to facilitate this Thursday's meeting. |
