REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: School's Student Council Recommendations for 2012 - 2013 Academic School Year

Whereas, several members of ASUCI this quarter agreed in last week’s discussion that every school within the University should have a respective student council,

Whereas nothing has been done about it,

Whereas the current academic school year is almost over, 

Whereas, member of the Current Legislative Council believe this issue is important, 

Whereas some schools already have established student councils, while others do not, 

Let it be resolved , that the current ASUCI Legislative Council recommends that the future Legislative Council of the 2013-2013 academic school year visit their deans and help establish a student council if one is not currently in place, 

Let it further be resolved, that that the At - Large Representatives who do not have a specific school assist the schools that do not have an established student council or who are currently creating one,

Finally let it be resolved that the representatives with established student governments seek out their respective schools student council and propose a chair or ex-officio position in order to facilitate the creation of a stronger community and a culture of visibility with ASUCI Legislative Council and the representatives schools.
