REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Elections Code Update

 Where as, the ASUCI Candidacy process has changed.
Where as, Legislative Council is empowered by the ASUCI Constitution to make changes to the Elections Code.
Where as, the current ASUCI Elections Code reads VII. TIMELINE, A. Fall Elections: 2.   The Declaration of Candidacy is due no later than Friday at 5:00 p.m. of fifth week of Fall Quarter to the ASUCI Receptionist.
Where as, the Declaration of Candidacy is no longer done through the ASUCI Receptionist.
Where as,the current Elections Code in reference to the Spring Timeline no longer incorporates this language.
Therefore, it is resolved that the word “to the ASUCI Receptionist” be stricken from the elections code.
There for, Let it further be resolved that these changes will take effect immediately.
