| Synopsis: ROAR (Office of Administrative Affairs) presents: ASUCI Informational Panel | |

Whereas, the vision for ROAR is to spearhead the interviewing procedures for the various positions of ASUCI and to provide services that will alleviate some of the necessary tasks of hiring ASUCI applicants that the VPs were previously required to accomplish. In addition to overseeing the application process for retention purposes, ROAR will also be executing recruitment opportunities through the forms of panels and workshops throughout the academic year, in order to provide students with the information and encouragement to get involved.
Whereas, in the past years, the ROAR commission has held a rather stagnant and ambiguous role within ASUCI. Recruitment and outreach were reduced to occasional banquets with minimal attendance but we plan on changing this stale pathway by institutionalizing an active part, specifically by immersing ourselves into the hiring and transitioning processes for all of ASUCI.
Whereas, the purpose is to make the different positions in ASUCI more transparent. VPs will discuss their roles and their internal matters/responsibilities to inform students who are interested in joining ASUCI. We also want to make this an annual event.
Let it be resolved that the panel will be held on Week 3 of Spring Quarter during Legislative Council time at 5-7pm to ensure the best attendance.
Let it be resolved that the Legislative Council takes an active role on behalf of its constituents to be involved in spreading the opportunities to cultivate strong leaders who will grow into strong advocates for our campus.
