REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: President of GUSH Ex-Officio Seat

 Whereas, the President of Government of Undergraduate Student Housing (GUSH) is required by GUSH rules to apply for an ex-officio position on Legislative Council,

Whereas, in interview process takes time during meetings and delays the GUSH President of sitting on Council,

Whereas, Collaboration between ASUCI and GUSH is important,

Let it be resolved, that the By-Laws be amended in Article III, B to include subsection 15 which includes the following:

The President of the Government of Undergraduate Student Housing shall be automatically appointed  with the majority of Legislative Council at the beginning of the quarter as an ex-officio member of Legislative Council if the number of filled ex-officio seats plus the number of applications received do not exceed 5 within the first week of the quarter for ex-officio position in Legislative Council.
