All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

| Synopsis: Formation of Undocumented Persons Advocacy Sub-Committee | |

| WHEREAS, Advocacy Committee has decided to focus one of its efforts on promoting a more inclusive environment for undocumented persons on campus,
WHEREAS, the most effective means of adequately advocating for the needs and rights of undocumented persons on campus is through directly organizing with members of this community,
WHEREAS, creating a sub-committee under the branch of the Advocacy Committee under Legislative Council will sufficiently establish an avenue, within this council, for undocumented persons on campus to have a direct role in voicing the issues that they face and subsequently leading the discussions on actions to be taken,
Let it be resolved, that a sub-committee for undocumented persons on campus shall be instated under the Advocacy Committee, with a council of representatives and a sub-committee chair,
Let it be resolved that the following students will reside on this sub-committee:
-Rame Bashir -David Hollingsworth -Maryam Farooqui -Tony Tizcareno -Andrea Gordillo -Martha Morales -Boss Povieng
Let it be further be resolved that Andrea Gordillo will serve as the Undocumented Advocacy sub-committee chair. |
