REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Social Sciences "meet the dean" event

Whereas it is the duty of Social Science representatives to provide Social Science students with opportunities to enhance their experiences at school; and,

Whereas many Social Science students have expressed their desire to have a chance to meet Bill Maurer, the dean of Social Sciences; and,

Whereas Bill Maurer has agreed to participate in a "meet your dean" event on April 8, 2014, given that Legislative Council takes responsibility for preparation and cost; and,

Let it be resolved that $200 is taken from Council Unallocated Fund 7115- 6501 and  set aside from the budget with full liberty given to the current Social Science Representatives to fund this event.
