REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: ASUCI Supports Fossil Fuels Divestment Event

WHEREAS, ASUCI Legilsative Council has demonstrated support for the Divestment of Fossil Fuels and; 

WHEREAS, the encouragement of students to engage in critical conversations of any kind is important and; 

WHEREAS, the Enviromental Law Society at UC Irvine will be hosting a Screening of "Do The Math"  which is about Divestment from Fossil Fuels on April 10th, 2014 from 5-7pm in EDU 1111 and; 

WHEREAS, Emily Williams a lead organizer in fossil fuels diviestment will be in attendance and; 

LET IT BE RESOLVED, that ASUCI is in support of event on Fossil Fuels Diviestment and; 

LET IS BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that ASUCI sends an E-mail through the Vice Chancellor of Student Services to UC Irvine students about the event and; 

LET IT BE FINALLY RESOLVED, the E-mail previously mentioned will be drafted by the author of this legislation.
