REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Continuation of ASUCI Refurbishment Ad-Hoc Committee

Whereas per R50-53, the ASUCI Refurbishment Ad-Hoc Committee was created within Legislative Council with the primary task of reviewing the ASUCI suite and determining whether or not refurbishments need to be made,

 

Whereas, the ASUCI Legislative Council and Executives have agreed that there are certain areas in the ASUCI Suite that may need refurbishments,

 

Whereas procedural precedent advises that Legislative Council review every Ad-Hoc committee at the end of the academic year to see if their is a need to have the committee continue into the next year,

 

Therefore, let it be resolved that the ASUCI Refurbishment Committee be renewed for the academic year 2015-16,

 

Let it further be resolved that Ariel Barnoy (Legislative Council Speaker Pro Tempore-Designate) and the incoming Advocacy Committee Chair (also known as the Committee on Committees Chair) be tasked with appointing members to the committee as well as overseeing its’ operations,

 

Let it further be resolved that this committee also be composed of the incoming Executive Cabinet, with the chair and vice-chair being elected at that meeting,

 

Let it finally be resolved that this committee’s meetings be public and open to the student community to allow for them to participate in conversations regarding the ASUCI Suite Refurbishment.
