All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

Whereas ASUCI is the governing body of the undergraduate population of the University of California, Irvine students,
Whereas ASUCI has three branches of government that are required to have all vacancies seats filled with proper due process,
Whereas ASUCI currently lacks a Student Advocate General to serve for the following 2012-2013 academic year,
Whereas it is imperative that this position be filled as the Student Advocate General serves as an extra check in the ASUCI government system, servers to represent ASUCI in matters brought forth to the Judicial Board, and acts as an educator of the student body about their rights as students in regards to how they participate with ASUCI and how ASUCI conducts actions,
Whereas the Student Advocate General provides an extra method of accountability and transparency for ASUCI and the student population at large,
Whereas a selection is urgently needed to be made immediately in order for it to fall under the legality of governing documents in order for one to even serve for the following year,
Whereas the Student Advocate General needs to be an individual who is deeply knowledgeable, both at a textual and implementation level, of the ASUCI By-Laws, the ASUCI Constitution, UC policy, and all other governing documents of ASUCI,
Whereas the proper nomination have been meet for a Student Advocate General by Associate Kooshan Khosravi and Vice Chairman of Judicial Board, Kevin Tanaka as well as the secured nomination of Executives,
Let it Be Resolved that Myrna Rosales be confirmed and appointed by ASUCI Legislative Council to the position of Student Advocate General and serve in the 2015-2016 academic year
Let it further be resolved that Myrna Rosales occupy training for the Student Conduct Board and training for Ombudsman Conflict Mediation previous to his service as Student Advocate General, if not already trained,
Let it further be resolved that proper transition measures be fully completed previous to Myrna Rosales’ commencement of his term as Student Advocate General
