All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

Whereas per ASUCI By-Laws Article 3, Section B, Subsection 1, Clause A, Subclause 8, “All Executive Cabinet members who are newly elected shall send their Chiefs of Staff, or equivalent of, to ASUCI Legislative Council to be reviewed and questioned by members of the council in a hearing to be approved for their appointment. They shall be sent and hearings completed no later than Week 10 of Spring Quarter of the year those Executives are elected. Then upon the selection of all commissioners or directors in each respective office, each newly elected Executive shall submit a roster with job description of all paid and non-paid commissioners to the Speaker Pro Tempore of ASUCI Legislative Council or Chair of Rules Committee and then the Rules Committee will review which commissioners require a council audit and approval, and complete that process of selection and conducting of hearings by the Thursday of Week 3 of fall quarter. All legislation for the approval of non-selected members of an office may be submitted before or after the audit/approval of members have been reviewed”,
Whereas, the ASUCI Legislative Council Speaker, Alvin Phan has contacted the incoming ASUCI executives to send their selections for chief of staffs to Legislative Council for an interview per ASUCI policy,
Whereas, Legislative Council had the opportunity to interview all the incoming Chiefs of Staffs of the five executives offices and convened to debate and vote upon the candidates,
Whereas it is customary for the appointments of an Executive Officer to be approved by Legislative Council,
Whereas, the appointments of these chiefs of staffs is contingent with the auditing process as well,
Therefore, let to be resolved that the following students be confirmed in their titles as Chiefs of Staffs for their respective offices and be afforded all privileges associated with such appointments:
