All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

Whereas, UCOP is proposing a 5% tuition increase over the next five years, which would be abandoning a planned fee freeze Whereas, The regents are to consider the plan at a Nov. 19 meeting in San Francisco
Whereas, Students weren't included in developing the proposed plan Whereas, the burden of increased financial costs should be placed on the state and not individual students and their families Whereas, the increased tuition would disadvantage many students pursuing higher education Whereas, higher education should be accessible to everyone regardless of their socioeconomic status Let it be resolved that ASUCI supports the “Do Like Us and Make Tuition Freeze” action on November 20th at 1:00 pm Let it be further resolved that Legislative Council members take it upon themselves to inform their constituents about the details of said action |
