All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

| Synopsis: Appointment of ASUCI Representatives to the Academic Senate | |

Whereas under the ASUCI By-Laws, Article 3, Section B, Sub-Section A, Item 3-C, “[The Academic Affairs Vice President] Serves as the ASUCI representative to the Academic Senate and oversees appointed student representatives to the Academic Senate committees”,
Whereas in the Spring Quarter 2014 and Fall Quarter 2014, the Academic Senate commission under the Office of Academic Affairs posted and publicized applications for the Academic Senate commission on the ASUCI website (https://asuci.uci.edu),
Whereas, the Academic Senate Commissioners, Majde Al Salibi and Daniel Ho, along with the Academic Affairs Vice President, Nikki Kathuria, conducted interviews for positions during the Spring Quarter 2014 and Fall Quarter 2014,
Whereas, under the ASUCI By-Laws, Article 3 (Membership Provisions), Section B (Council Provisions), Item 8 states, “Voting Council members shall confirm or reject by a simple majority present all nominations for the student representative positions on all Administrative, Advisory, Academic Senate, or other ASUCI represented committees, as recommended by the respective Executive Officers and reviewed by the Rules Committee”,
Therefore, let it be resolved that the following students be appointed as ASUCI Representatives to the UC Irvine Academic Senate (http://senate.uci.edu) and be afforded all privileges associated with such appointments:
