All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

Whereas Article III. Membership Provisions, Section A. Members, Item 1. of the ASUCI Bylaws states, “The Legislative Council shall consist of…Appointed non-voting Council members of different cultural, ethnic, or special services interests. These members shall be appointed by their various constituencies; however, only organizations or associations with organized and officially recognized governing bodies may apply for seats on Council. Appointed non-voting Council members may not exceed five (5) in number,” and Whereas the Government of Undergraduate Student Housing (GUSH) falls under the category of “officially recognized governing bodies,” and Whereas there are currently 5 vacancies for non-voting Council members within ASUCI Legislative Council, and Whereas, on January 8th 2014 Legislative Council convened to interview Matt Carlson for a non-voting seat on the council as a representative for GUSH, Whereas said interview preceded a straw poll in favor of appointing Matt Carlson to the abovementioned position, Therefore, be it resolved that Matt Carlson be appointed as a non-voting representative for GUSH on ASUCI Legislative Council.
