REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Creation of ASUCI Refurbishment Ad-Hoc Committee

 Whereas, Article IV, Section B, Item 10 states, “[The authority of Legislative Council shall include, but is not limited to] Establish standing or ad hoc committees, i.e. Rules, Finance, Public Information, Special Task Forces, to assist in any legislative recommendations.”, and

 

Whereas, ad hoc committees have been created by Legislative Council to address various issues affecting the students, and

 

Whereas, the Legislative Council believes that there is a need to refurbish the ASUCI Office  to create a more functional working space, and

 

Therefore, let it be resolved that an ad hoc committee be created to recommend financially responsible revisions and/or additions to the ASUCI Office space, and   

 

Let it further be resolved that this committee be chaired by Matt Tsai (ASUCI Legislative Council), vice-chaired by Alvin Phan (ASUCI Legislative Council) and also consist of Negar Fatahi (ASUCI Legislative Council), Tin Hong (ASUCI Legislative Council) as well as all ASUCI executive officers and their chiefs of staff.

 

Let it further be resolved that this committee will meet weekly in a location open to all ASUCI members

 

Let it further be resolved that this committee be named the “ASUCI Refurbishment Committee.”
