All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: In Support of Decision to Have all Students Vaccinated Against Measles

Whereas a recent outbreak of measles originating from Disneyland started in December of 2014 and,

Whereas on January 4, 2015, an individual carrying measles entered the Ayala Science Library and put at risk all people entering and leaving the area with being infected and,

Whereas measles is a disease that is highly contagious, yet easily prevented from contracting beforehand with a vaccination and,

Whereas unvaccinated people are at a greater risk of being infected with the disease,

Let it be resolved that ASUCI supports the UCI administration's decision to require proof of measles vaccination before being enrolled in UCI.
