Whereas international students at UCI face many unique challenges attending school abroad, and Whereas the International Student Committee has shown itself to be a useful resource in advocating for the concerns of international students, and Whereas R50-17, the parent legislation of the International Student Committee, calls for a revisit during the Spring Quarter 2015 to "facilitate discussion on a renewal process for this Ad Hoc Committee," and Let it be resolved that the International Student Committee be renewed for the academic year 2015-16, and Let it be resolved that the International Student Committee is empowered to select new members for the new academic year and explore more avenues to reach out and support the international student community at UCI, working with the International Center as needed, and Let it further be resolved that the Legislative Council of 2015-16 will appoint two Council members per ASUCI policy, by legislation, and Let it finally be resolved that following the rules stated under ASUCI Bylaws, Article XIV, Section A, the progress of the International Student Committee will be reviewed at the end of the Spring Quarter 2016 to discuss its annual renewal.
