Whereas it is the responsibility of the rules committee as per the By-Laws to "review and revise the Council By-Laws, Elections Code, and Judicial Board Procedures" (XI. RULES COMMITTEE - section A-1-a), and

Whereas, as it currently stands within the ASUCI By-Laws, Executive Officers give budget reports weeks 1 and 8 of every quarter,

Whereas, presenting budgets between week 8 fall quarter/week 1 winter, and week 8 winter quarter/week 1 spring tend to show small changes in budgets,

Whereas, expenditures early in the quarter are not usually reflected in week 1 budgets due to unavoidable delay in reimbursements,

Whereas, it would make more sense to ask Executives to present their budgets at week 2 of every quarter instead of week 1 to allow for more accurate budget reporting,

Therefore let it be resolved that the ASUCI By-Laws Article 3, Section A Members, Subsection 2 - Council member job description and duties, be amended from:

Clause 1 President, Subclause h

They shall be required to present to the ASUCI Legislative Council a break down of their budget expenditures on a bi- quarterly basis, on the first Thursday of each quarter and the Thursday of that quarter's "Week 8".
