Whereas, Campus Climate is defined as “the current attitudes, behaviors and standards of faculty, staff, administrators and students concerning the level of respect for individual needs, abilities and potential,” by a statement released by the University of California, Office of the President.

Whereas, Campus Climate is and will be a topic of interest among students and their growth on their college campus.

Whereas, ASUCI Legislative Council is an elected representation of the student population on the UC Irvine campus.

Whereas, an important part of ASUCI Legislative Council is to pass resolutions in ensuring equity and inclusiveness for our students’ wellbeing and education on the UC Irvine campus.

Whereas, resolutions brought to Legislative Council in regards to Campus Climate have been in effort to remedy a problem put onto a “community” on our campus.

Let it be resolved, The legislation should be from a community stance, unlike an individual bias.

Resolved, the language within legislation regarding Campus Climate should provide accessibility of understanding to all student constituents.

Resolved, the texts within legislation should demonstrate supportive material/evidence in academia for student access upon question of the legislation.

Resolved, that legislations regarding Campus Climate should present authors theoretical frame work.
