All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: ASUCI By-Laws Revision: Change to Quorum Requirements

Whereas, meeting quorum has been a challenge this quarter due to excused absences of Councilmembers for class


Whereas, quorum must be met to even start the meeting


Whereas,

Article VI , Section E, Clause 1 states  

  1. A majority of the total number of current voting Council members is a quorum for Legislative council sessions unless otherwise stipulated.


Let it be resolved that,

Article VI , Section E, Clause 1, be amended to:  

  1. A majority of the total number of current voting Council members is a quorum for Legislative council sessions:

    1. Minus up to a limit of four excused absences which may not be included in the total number needed for quorum
