REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Appointment of Office of Administrative Affairs Vice-President 2016-2017

Whereas, The Office of the Administrative Affairs Vice President has completed the hiring process of the staff for the 2016-2017 academic year,


Whereas, The Office of the Administrative Affairs  Vice President will be renamed the Office of the Internal Vice President if and when the revisions to the ASUCI Constitution, adopted by the undergraduate student body during the Spring 2016 elections, come into effect,
Whereas, It is necessary for the appointments of an Executive Officer to be approved by the Legislative Council (Art IV, Sec. B, Sub 2), and
Whereas, Members of the staff need to be confirmed for payroll and have already been performing their duties,


Therefore, let it be resolved, that the following students be confirmed for their respective positions as members of the staff of the ASUCI Office of the Administrative Affairs Vice President and afforded all privileges associated with such appointments:


Misael Marquez, Chief of Staff

Jessica Zamora, Student Life & Advocacy Commissioner

Jennifer Martin Del Campo, Campus Task Force Commissioner

Mi Tran, Legal Clinic Commissioner

Alex Seang, Vendor Fair Commissioner

Kennia Ortega, Garden Commissioner

Malinda Pang, Anteaters In Action Commissioner

Sanjanaa Ellur, Food Security Commissioner; and

Stephanie Silva, Sustainability Project Commissioner  


Let it finally be resolved, that the above students remain appointed and confirmed for their respective positions as members of the staff of the ASUCI Office of the Internal Vice President if and when the revisions to the ASUCI Constitution, adopted by the undergraduate student body during the Spring 2016 elections, take effect.
