REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Affirmation of the 2016-17 Office of the Academic Affairs Commissioners

Whereas, The Office of the Academic Affairs Vice President has completed the hiring process of the staff for the 2016-2017 academic year;


Whereas, It is necessary for the appointments of an Executive Officer to be approved by the Legislative Council (Art IV, Sec. B, Sub 3); and

Whereas, Members of the staff need to be confirmed for payroll and have already been performing their duties; therefore, let it be

Resolved, That the following students be confirmed for their respective positions as members of the staff of the ASUCI Office of the Academic Affairs  Vice President and afforded all privileges associated with such appointments:


Leila Danishgar, Chief of Staff

 

Jennifer Ledesma, Chief of Staff

Tej Vuligonda, Speakers commissioner

 

Teresa Le, Speakers commissioner

 

Jacob Aquino, Academic Engagement

commissioner

 

Kyle Mamiit, Academic Engagement commissioner

 

Angeline Phan, Academic Senate commissioner

 

Anna Xu, Visions Leadership commissioner

 

Sydney Tieu, Visions Leadership commissioner

 

Cody Chau, Antleader Mentorship Program commissioner

 

Jorge Maldorono, Antleader Mentorship Program commissioner; and


Resolved, that the above students remain appointed and confirmed for their respective positions as members of the staff of the ASUCI Office of the Academic Affairs  Vice President if and when the revisions to the ASUCI Constitution, adopted by the undergraduate student body during the Spring 2016 elections, take effect.
