REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Reaffirmation and Appointment of External VP Directors

Whereas, The ASUCI Office of the External Vice President selects staff appointments to serve in the 2016-2017 year,

Whereas, Executive Officers spearhead appointments for positions in their respective offices,

Whereas, the External Vice President held interviews at the end Spring Quarter 2016 to hire elected commissioners to serve in the office during the 2016-2017 school year,

 

Whereas, due to the Statewide Organizer position becoming vacant following Katrina Vergara’s resignation,

Whereas, all commissioner positions have been filled in the Office of the External Vice President with the recent appointment of the new Statewide Organizing Commissioner,

 

Whereas, the local outreach branch will no longer be an active branch,

Let it be resolved that the following individuals serve in their capacity listed:

 

Brijesh Sharma, Chief of Staff

Jose de Jesus Santacruz, National Organizing Co-Director

Zoe Broussard, National Organizing Co-Director

Alicia Garcia, Statewide Organizing Director

Yultzin Angeles, High School Outreach Director

Brennan Gonering, Legislative Affairs Director; and


Resolved, that the above students remain confirmed or reconfirmed for their respective positions as members of the staff of the ASUCI Office of the External Vice President.
