REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Legislation expressing ASUCI's support for campus space to serve the purpose of the interfaith trailers.

Whereas, the interfaith trailers will be closed down due to structural issues regarding earthquake safety,

Whereas, the religious and spiritual clubs and organizations will no longer have a space to hold meetings or store inventory or books,

Whereas, the remodeling or rebuilding of the interfaith trailers is not currently confirmed to be established for the students,

Whereas, the students are left with no space for the undetermined time being,


Now, therefore, let it be resolved that the Associated Students of the University of California Irvine advocates for the University of California, Irvine to establish a space for these students and clubs by no later than the end of the 2016 Fall Quarter; and
Be it further resolved that ASUCI recommends that the University of California, Irvine release a statement in detail regarding the establishment of an appropriate space no later than the end of the 2016 Fall Quarter.
