REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE |

All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

| Synopsis: By-laws Amendment: Striking of Voting Records II | |

Whereas, ASUCI Senate should be a transparent body to all students and,
Whereas, all UCI students should have the right to view the voting records of the senators who had represented them and,
Whereas, a previous legislation, R52-21, had already been passed to do away with concealing voting records and, [1]
Whereas, this legislation will complete the process begun earlier and,
Let it therefore be resolved that, Article III, section B, subsection 1a, provision 9 of the ASUCI By-laws be struck in its entirety:
“The President of the Senate shall be in charge of phasing out former Senators’ voting records from all official voting record history once a Senator’s term has ended, resigned from office , dismissed from office, or can no longer hold office for any substantiated reason.”
Let it be resolved that, Article III, section B, subsection 1a, provisions 10, 11, and 12 be accordingly renumbered to provisions 9, 10, and 11, respectively.
