REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Appointment of the ASUCI Business Senator as an Ex-Officio Member on MUSAs Executive Board

 Whereas, Merage Undergraduate Student Association (MUSA) is the governing body representing all students of the Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine,

Whereas, the focus of MUSA is on promoting the involvements of our students through creating programs and other services designed to facilitate interaction between the students, administration, faculty, alumni and other business organizations on campus,

 

Whereas, the ASUCI Business Senator’s duty and responsibility also involves representing UCI’s Business School department and all undergraduate students within the Business School Department,

 

Whereas, ASUCI Business Senator and MUSA both strive to provide the Merage student body with the highest-quality resources and opportunities,

 

Whereas, presently it is difficult to meet with all constituents and accurately represent them,

 

Whereas, ASUCI Business Senator acts as a liaison between ASUCI and the Undergraduate Business School Department,

 

Whereas, collaboration between ASUCI Business Senator and MUSA can lead to synergistic results that are beneficial to UCI’s business department, ASUCI, and MUSA,

 

Whereas, an Ex-Officio member is a non-voting member and solely serves as a liaison to communicate information,

 

Let it be resolved that the ASUCI Business Senator be duly appointed as an Ex-Officio member on MUSA’s Executive Board,

 

Let it be resolved that the ASUCI Business Senator attends monthly to MUSA’s Executive Board meetings in order to report present and future goals, plans, and actions as well as stay updated on MUSA’s present and future goals, plans, and actions.


Let it be resolved that the ASUCI Business Senator will report back and share notes with the rest of the ASUCI Senate

Let it be resolved that this position expires at the end of Spring Quarter 2017,

 

Let it finally be resolved that Julie Lim, the current ASCUI Business Senator, appoints Isaac Rubalcava to fill the position of the Assistant to the ASUCI Business Senator.
