All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Whereas, May 17 is the 10th edition of Donald Bren School of Computer Sciences’ celebration of Information and Computer Science (ICS) Day.

 

Whereas, ICS Day is the largest event of the year at the Donald Bren  School of Information and Computer Science and draws hundreds of mainly ICS students and students of different majors for a day full of festivities, career development, and the opportunity to learn about ICS clubs.

 

Whereas, ICS Day is hosted by ICS Student Council, IEEE, MAISS, TAG@UCI, HACK, WICS, Cyber@UCI, ACM, CUCS, UDSA, Linux User Group.

Whereas, ICS Day is free for everyone to attend.

 

Whereas the main events are listed below:

  • Dunk Tank

  • Obstacle Course

  • ICS Club Booth Activities

  • Dance Crews and Choral Performance, such as INSA, CADC and United Voices

Let it be resolved that ASUCI gives its full support for Information and Computer Science Day and will continue to work with the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences Clubs to better support ICS student life and academic excellence.
