All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

| Synopsis: Appointment of Associate Justice to Judicial Board | |

| Whereas there is currently a vacant seat on the ASUCI Judicial Board, Whereas, judicial propriety calls for the appointment of new justices to fill the Judicial Board with all possible haste so as to allow proper training,
Whereas, the ASUCI Constitution in Article 7., Section 2., Clause (a) (1) (F), Executive Cabinet has the power "To appoint Justices to the Judicial Board, subject to approval by the Senate,"
Whereas, after an initial round of interviews, Executive Cabinet referred their candidates for a second round of interviews to the ASUCI Senate,
Whereas, the ASUCI Senate convened on April 12, 2018 and April 19, 2018 to interview and debate upon Quincy Gerald,
Whereas, the ASUCI Senate recommends the appointment of Quincy Gerald to serve as Associate Justice on the ASUCI Judicial Board,
Therefore, let it be resolved that Quincy Gerald be appointed to a seat on the Judicial Board until the conclusion of Spring Quarter, 2019. |
