REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: By Laws Amendment: ICS Senator(s) Job Addition

WHEREAS, Information and Computer Science Student Council (ICSSC) is an officially registered club in the school of Information and Computer Science (ICS) .

 

WHEREAS, ICSSC is the umbrella organization of clubs in the school of ICS.

 

WHEREAS, listening to constituents’ concerns is an integral part of the ICS Senator(s)’s duties.

 

WHEREAS, maintaining a close relationship with ICSSC allows the ICS Senator(s) to have access to a large body of constituents.

 

THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED, that Article III, Section A, Subsection 2, subsubsection c, titled “Appealing dismissal”, be amended so as to renumber it to subsubsection d.

 

THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED, that Article III, Section A, Subsection 2, be amended so as to add the following as subsubsection c titled “Additional Senator Responsibilities”.

 

THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED, that Article III, Section A, Subsection 2, subsubsection d, be amended so as to add the following clause numbered as (1) reading “The Senator(s) for the school of Information and Computer Science shall be required to attend a minimum of one meeting with the President of the Information and Computer Science Student council (ICSSC) per quarter and shall submit a signed letter from the President of ICS Student Council, or one of the Vice Presidents if the President is unable to meet for the quarter, to the President of the Senate.”
