REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Appointment of Internal Deputy Student Advocate General

 Whereas ASUCI has three branches of government that are required to have all vacancies seats filled with proper due process, and

 

Whereas it is imperative that this position be filled as the Internal Deputy Student Advocate General serves as an extra check in the ASUCI government system and acts as an educator of the student body about their rights as students in regards to how they participate with ASUCI and how ASUCI conducts actions, and

 

Whereas the Internal Deputy Student Advocate General provides an extra method of accountability and transparency for ASUCI and the student population at large, and

 

Whereas the Internal Deputy Student Advocate General needs to be an individual who is deeply knowledgeable, both at a textual and implementation level, of the ASUCI By-Laws, the ASUCI Constitution, UC policy, and all other governing documents of ASUCI, and

 

Whereas the proper nominations have been met for Internal Deputy Student Advocate General by Student Advocate General Alison Lu, and

 

Let it be resolved that Albert Bursalyan be confirmed and appointed by ASUCI Senate to the position of Internal Deputy Student Advocate General and serve in the 2017-2018 academic year.
