REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Appointment of 2018-2019 TGIF Sustainability Commissioner

Whereas, the 2018-2019 The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) Sustainability Commissioner must be confirmed by the 2017-2018 ASUCI Senate in the Spring Quarter 2018; and,

Whereas, it is crucial that the newly-appointed 2018-2019 TGIF Sustainability Commissioner be approved immediately to begin working on managing TGIF; and,

Whereas, the current TGIF Sustainability Commissioner, Ruth Morales, has worked with the TGIF Grant Manager, Stephanie Van Ginkel, to interview and select the best candidate for the 2018-2019 TGIF Commissioner; and,

Whereas, Chloe Zheng was selected out of the competitive pool of applicants to be the 2018-2019 TGIF Sustainability Commissioner; and,

Whereas, Chloe demonstrates a critical working knowledge of TGIF, having served as the 2016-2017 TGIF Intern, and the 2017-2018 TGIF Assistant Accounting and External Affairs Commissioner; and,

Whereas, Chloe has over two (2) years of experience working with TGIF, including active involvement in board meetings and assisting in the oversight of accounting; and,

 

Whereas, Chloe has pledged to make TGIF a top-priority in their on-campus involvements; and,

 

Therefore, let it be resolved that ASUCI Senate confirms Chloe Zheng to be the 2018-2019 TGIF Sustainability Commissioner.
