REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Elections Code Revision Public Candidate Forum

Whereas, the public candidate forum(s) held by the Elections Commission should always be as unbiased as possible and,

 

Whereas, in the past, some campaigns have felt it was alright to bring their or other campaign promotional material to these events and,

 

Whereas, these sorts of actions undermine the intention of the public candidate forum and,

 

Let it be resolved that a new clause, Article VII. Timeline, Section A., Subsection 4. d., be added that reads “No campaign material of any kind, including slander, shall be present during the event.”
