Whereas, the “Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) is a campus committee comprised of students, faculty and staff reporting to the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor (P-EVC)… To recommend ways to improve student services and programs [1]”; and,

Whereas, UC Irvine undergraduates play an integral role within SFAC by acting as mediators between the undergraduate student body and the P-EVC when offering “attitudes of the student body, faculty on matters pertaining to Student Fees [1]”; when providing a “continuing study of the Student Services Fee and Tuition [1]”; when recommending “Student Services Fee funding allocations to the P-EVC [1]”; when reviewing “Student Services Fee budget changes implemented by the P-EVC [1]”; when recommending “a campus Student Services Fee level to the P-EVC [1]”; and when reviewing “new and existing Course Materials and Services Fees and make a recommendation to the P-EVC [1]”; and,

Whereas, undergraduate representatives were carefully selected after an interview and selection process conducted by the ASUCI Joint Committee on Internal Governance; and,

Whereas, ASUCI Senate must approve the appointments of these selected undergraduate representatives; and,

Let it be resolved that the ASUCI Senate confirms the appointments of the following undergraduate students to the 2017-2018 Undergraduate Representatives of the Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC):

1.      Deon West

2.      Taariq Elmahad

3.      Travis Abshireas
